
Denver Crawford is a multimedia artist based in Harlem, New York.
Denver Crawford (He/They) has their hands in every artistic practice they can engage in. Whether it’s self-publishing their own book of poetry, performing in theatres, or creating visual art, they are full of boundless energy and excitement for what each medium has to offer.
Denver grew up with a knack for performance. He began performing at the age of 9, and went on to study Drama at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Upon leaving their studies in of 2016, Denver arrived in New York City, hungry to develop their artistry.
They now reside in Harlem, producing poetry, paintings, plays, films, music, and performances all meant to examine the nature of queer identity, the boundaries of digital/analog existence, genetic and generative historicist phenomenology, and cultural identity.
Denver currently works both in Television and Theatre behind-the-scenes, and is the co-founder of the arts collective Art Hoes United. AHU is a multi-platform space for emerging artists to congregate and exchange in dialogue in order to grow and shed light on unseen or underrepresented artists in their community.
